The BISW Parents' Association (PA) enhances the student experience and promotes excellence in BISW's international education by facilitating collaboration between BISW families, the school administration, and the DC community. There are many different opportunities for parents and guardians to participate in the BISW Parents' Association.
To achieve goals, the BISW PA:
Brings the school community together through social functions and student-focused activities
Builds partnerships between the school and parents and guardians
Utilizes the skills and experience of the parents and guardians for the benefit of the school
Mission of the BISW Parents' Association
The PA’s primary mission is to deliver events that promote social well being amongst the community at the British International School of Washington, to represent or speak on behalf of the parents and families on significant school matters and to always uphold the best interests of the students and parents in all school endeavors.
The PA fundraises within the school and local community to pay for internal school social events and wish to impart an annual gift to the students on behalf of the parents.
